Never know who you’ll meet

June 4, 2004

After a long workout at the gym with my trainer, I arrived back at the office only to find that it had been taken over by a whole lot of women. Turns out that the other side of our office, LPFI, was hosting a reception for Equal Rights Advocates. I was introduced to District of Columbia Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton. She was signing copies of her biography, Fire in My Soul. I only spoke to her for about a minute about OSAF and what we were building, but she seemed very nice.

I can’t believe the accusations Dave is making… Sorry Dave, it isn’t Microsoft’s fault that Apple’s browser sucks. Even Ben thinks Dave has gone over the edge!

Ben has entered the building.

Go Mike!

May 1, 2003

Mike Pinkerton is going to be teaching a class at George Washington University. To think I believed people got useful information at college… Be afraid. Be very afraid.

I told you she was hot…

Hey Rebecca, everyone else thinks Rebecca Romijn-Stamos is hot.

Still here…

My friend Brendan Eich got married yesterday. Congratulations to Brendan and Eleanor! I got dressed up in a tuxedo for the wedding and looked pretty nice. A rare sight. It was a very beautiful ceremony and the reception was great. I took a few pictures, but I haven’t posted any of them yet. After the reception, some of us went over to David Hyatt’s house and continued to celebrate for a while longer.

This afternoon, after I finally woke up, Mike Shaver and I went up to visit Dan Mosedale in San Francisco for lunch. After a great lunch across from Dan’s place, we headed over to visit Chris Waterson. I finally got to meet Rebecca, Chris’s baby. She slept most of the time we were there, but somehow her spider senses sensed a Canadian, Mike, and she got a little upset. After we left, I dropped Mike off for dinner, took Dan home, and proceeded back to home where I was finally able to relax.

David loves fruit

July 15, 2002

David just signed on to AIM at his new job.

<stuart> did they fire you yet?
<david> no, but i’m sure it’s just a matter of time

I figure Apple will fire him within the next two weeks after he starts 8 new projects and abandons 7 of them.

About time

July 15, 2002

So as you have probably heard by now, AOL finally rid itself of random-project-starter David Hyatt. He has taken a job at some fruit company called Apple where he is supposed to start today. He is supposed to arrive at 8:30am, but I have my doubts that he will actually make it there on time since he usually came in to work around noon at Netscape.
