Mozilla Blog Aggregators

May 26, 2004

I noticed that Gemal removed my blog from his blogupdates site. Guess he didn’t know about my category specific RSS feed for all my Mozilla related posts.

mozillaZine’s feedHouse site presents a nice layout for keeping track of all the Mozilla related blogs. Check it out.

There is also Planet Mozilla which has a few more feeds.

Gmail Account Winners

May 23, 2004

The winners of my Gmail account contest are mydigital and Jed. Congrats!

I have some more accounts to give away, but I’m going to come up with some other way of giving those out.

Learning to Drive

May 23, 2004

Ben and I went over to MINI of Mountain View to check out the Mini Cooper S. They don’t have enough people working there so we couldn’t get a test drive, but they told us to call and set up an appointment. After that, Ben offered to teach me to drive a manual transmission car with his G35. Despite growing up in Georgia, I never had to drive a stick shift car, so there was a lot of learning involved. I still have some issues starting in to first gear without bunny hopping, but I was able to shift up and down without too much trouble. I still need a lot more practice, but I suspect my next car will be a manual.

Gmail Accounts

May 22, 2004

I’ve got a few extra Gmail account invites that I don’t need. I figured I could reward my both of my blog readers with something. If you want one (and don’t already have one), leave a comment as to why you should have a Gmail account and I’ll pick the best two tomorrow night and send them invites. The rest of you will have to wait or beg over at gmail swap.

Update: Winners announced over here.

Angel Series Finale

May 21, 2004

I just got around to watching this week’s Angel series finale. I’m very sad to it end. The episode was amazing, but it felt a lot more like a season finale than a series finale. While it tied up some knots, it left a lot more hanging. This article talks about the possibility of TV movies and full screen movies. I hate not knowing the fate of Angel, Spike, Illyria and Gunn.

On the plus side, Joss starts filming Serenity next week.

ABC Fall Schedule

May 18, 2004

Today ABC also announced their primetime schedule. Looking at their schedule, I realized that I don’t watch any shows on ABC other than Alias and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

WB Fall Schedule

May 18, 2004

WB announced their new fall schedule today. The Mountain looks promising, but no sign of Rachael Leigh Cook’s Fearless which was supposed to air last season.

Troy

May 16, 2004

Ben, Scott and I went to see Troy today. It was better than I expected, but had plenty of cheesy moments. There were a lot of events that didn’t line up too well with Homer’s Troy, but it is Hollywood afterall. Coming in at 2 hours and 42 minutes, Troy is a bit long, but I would recommend checking it out.

City of Heroes

May 15, 2004

Back in April 2002 I posted about an upcoming game, City of Heroes. It came out a few weeks ago and I’m wondering how good it is? Has anyone given it a try yet? If so, let me know what you think. Gamespot gave it an 8.4, which is pretty good.

Superstar USA

May 15, 2004

Superstar USA starts Monday, May 17. The show will be like American Idol, except the judges are getting rid of the good singers and keeping the ones who are awful. William Hung might have a chance in this competition. The judges and audience are all in on the joke leaving only the bad singers to make fools out of themselves. Needless to say, I’m very excited.
