On the run…

January 25, 2003

I played some football today with the gang: Joe, Seth, Suresh, Garrett, Jason, Stephen, Scott, and Syd. It was some good exercise and a lot of fun. It was my first time out since they started playing again a few weeks ago. Good to be playing again.

I’m having dinner in a few minutes with my friend Manish at Bandera in Los Altos. The food there kicks ass. I haven’t eaten there in a long time so I’m looking forward to a great meal.

Mortal Kombat

January 25, 2003

This Mortal Kombat game is killing my hands. The combos are insane.. for instance Frost has a combo that requires you to press: X,X,Y,Y,L,B,X,X,up+A with perfect timing. Try pressing that 10 times fast!

There are a ton of things to unlock in the game ranging from movies to new characters… over 600 of them. You unlock them by earning "koins" from battling enemys in Arcade mode and by going through tutorials in "konqest" mode.

If I plan on unlocking everything, it is probably going to take a while… I don’t think I can sit and play this for very long without my hands hurting. Oh well.

Yet Another Game

January 24, 2003

Stephen Donner, for some reason, took back his XBox and he’s letting me buy his copy of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance for cheap. It is supposed to be pretty good. Wonder when I’ll find time to play it.

Oh no!

Blake found me out. I was waiting to announce it, but I guess he couldn’t wait to tell the world. I’ve been working on embedding MS Paint into Mozilla. Soon it will even be able to draw circles. After that, maybe I can add Photoshop plugin support.

Working so far

January 23, 2003

MT seems to be working pretty well so far. I’ve made a rough pass over all my blog entries attempting to put them in to poorly named categories.

The biggest feature missing from MT that Blogger Pro had is the lack of a spell checker. With my horrific spelling, the built in spellchecker was a great feature of Blogger Pro. I guess I will just have to launch OpenOffice before I post blogs. I really wish that when MT imported my Blogger data that it would have kept my permalinks the same. Oh well.

I need to make my monthly archive pages look more like my main page and put more thought in to having individual archive pages. I like the monthly pages better I think, but now that I have comments, maybe I will add something fancy like the way Joe handles comments.

Does anyone know how to turn linebreaks in to
s rather than multiple
s?

Me Too

January 23, 2003

I got bored and switched to MoveableType as well. We’ll see how it works out.

sigh

I got nothing done today at work. I had a few meetings and ended up talking to Asa about Mozilla’s future for nearly 3 hours.

New car, here I come

Lotus has finally announced that they are bringing the Elise to the states. I better start saving now.
