As some of you probably noticed, my site was showing a blank directory index due to yet another technical problem with Dreamhost. If you are looking for web hosting, I wouldn’t recommend them.

A joke come true
January 29, 2003I noticed that Blake’s joke about mozilla.org’s statement of independence no longer has the Mozilla banner on it. I wonder if it some people at Mozilla didn’t think it was very funny. Don’t those guys have any sense of humor?
In my little world
January 29, 2003I’ve haven’t really done anything exciting or read anything too exciting in the last couple of days because I’ve been working almost non-stop. I found time to watch the very enjoyable Princess Mononoke the other day. I’ll try to find something interesting to post here today or tomorrow.
Phoenix’s new name
January 27, 2003I’ve heard from the Phoenix developers that the new name is going to be Surfzilla. Personally, I think this name sucks, but it isn’t really my decision. Blake and Ben told me they would likely announce it tonight or tomorrow. After letting me know of the name change, Ben references it in his post on MozillaZine.
update: Blake has made a humerous reference to it on his blog.
Getting into the Gaming Business
January 27, 2003GameSpy is doing a five-part series on how to get in to the gaming business through this week. They’ll be posting a new section every day this week. It should be pretty cool.
Alias
January 26, 2003Tonight’s episode of Alias, which aired after the Super Bowl, was filled with a lot of big changes to the show. Over at the TiVo forums, there is a discussion going on and a few links about the changes. It sounds a to me like ABC is going to dumb down the show. Perhaps it makes sense to eliminate some of the elaborate plot lines and the ever silly Rambaldi prophecies. It might give them some more time to work on the characters, but it better not turn in to Felicity. Alias is now a whole new show. I hope the changes to the show gain some new viewers and keep it going.
Is it so hard to imagine ABC destroying this great show? It isn’t like they’ve killed off every other good show they’ve ever had. Oh wait, they have… Sports Night, Gideon’s Crossing, Push Nevada, etc.
I don’t want to give away any spoilers for all of you who still have the episode on your TiVo, but I will say there are going to be some HUGE changes to Dixon, Marshall and Francine.
Linux Switch Ad
January 26, 2003I love all the Apple switch ad spoofs, but this has to be the funiest one I’ve ever seen.
yay, outch, go!
January 26, 2003Dinner last night kicked ass. I love Bandera.
I think I pulled some muscle in my back or shoulder playing football yesterday. It started bothering me after the game and is still bothering me today. Hopefully it will go away soon.
I’m heading to my friend’s house for a Super Bowl party in a few hours. I’m not sure who I am pulling for, but probably Oakland.
